Summer and Whale's Tale
投稿者

She said,
"Whales are fish that fly in the sky."
And I believed her words were true.

*

When asked if I was in love,
I'd say, yes, indeed.

Yet, even without love,
Whales have always flown in the sky,
They must be fish, after all.

Her voice melted into the deep air,
Enveloping me like

Rain

Drops.

Boundless happiness I felt,
Believing I found a hidden truth in this world.

*

Back then, I thought
Whales flew when summer came.
But it was the other way around,
Whales carried summer upon their backs.

Flying with all their might,
Gliding through the golden sky,

Swimming,

Carrying summer,

*

Rain

Falls.

To the rhythm, she surrenders,
Dancing, and dancing.

Feeling sad,
Knowing we might never meet again,
I realized it's not so wrong to cry.

In a voice so faint, it couldn't be heard,
I whispered, "Thank you."
And time stood still.

*

She said,
"Whales are fish that fly in the sky."
Together, we looked up at the gray sky,
And saw nothing.

Forever and ever, I will remember
That moment when time froze in its tracks.

*

We were soaked from head to toe,
I almost shouted, "There's no whale!"

Perhaps, at that moment,
We were inside the belly of a whale,
While flying through the blue sky.
