(1)A driving tour along the roads of the back land near Lake Biwa.
奥琵琶湖周遊ドライブ

○[My young days passed twinkingly,going in a car along the lake with my wife in this old age.
若き日々たちまちに過ぎ妻ととも湖畔を走る老年の日々]

○「Thin light of the sun,flakes of　clouds are spreading;
It’s in the 23 ℃　centigrade,yearly average temperature.
Our drive of autumnal day.
薄き陽の雲広ごりて平年の２３℃の秋のドライブ」

○「Crops have done,leaves turned yellow;
A year flied and I ａｍ　making tanka again
稲はみな刈入れは済み黄葉となり一年過ぎてまた歌を詠みいる」

○「In autumnal haze,mountains ahead are ranging one by one;
Everything in a cool atomosphere.
秋かすみ前途の山は幾重にも薄く重なり涼しき心地」

○「Ｔhis is Nagahama:we are running and running in the vehicle,
With flashing autumn and four persons.
長浜や市街地近くひた走る車上は四人秋は更けゆく」

○「 Waves are lapping,going alongside the backland of Biwa,roads are
Winding in the graceful scenary.

波静か奥琵琶の湖沿いてゆく道はくねりて景色良かりき」

○「Wild ducks are gathering in a big crowd;
The wind blew ,felt some coldness.
鴨が来て群れ集いて大群をなし小寒き浜辺風吹きわたる」

○「Ａ　kite is singing,it's noon,in the field flooding
sun light,with sitting four persons eating lunch.

　鳶なきて正午の光あふる野に４人座りて昼食を食ぶ」

○「A dragon fly perched on my right hand while lunch;
After a few seconds it flew away.
昼食をとる右の手にトンボ来てとまりて暫しまた飛び去れり」

○「There cosmoses bloom in red and white；
Today’s northern Biwa are quite pastoral.
コスモスは紅と白色混じり咲き今日の湖北は長閑なりけり」

○「Looking up into the great heaven, tｈought I
The person who dwells on earth is only me?
大空を一人仰ぎて思いけり唯吾ひとり世に在らざらむ」
